Crafty Devils

What do 14 square feet of framed drywall, 36" of 1x3 lumber, 15 feet of 16 gauge galvanized wire, 38.25 square feet of cardboard, a kitchen table and two wooden chairs have in common?

That's what's required to keep our puppies confined to where we want them. It's amazing how crafty puppies can be at 7 weeks old.

When I was a little boy, waaaay back, we got a poodle puppy, and "locked" her in the kitchen. We put a card table, or something, stretching it between the fridge and the opposite wall.

When we came home, she was gone. We searched all over. She was only two inches tall. She couldn't jump over it, push it out of the way, or build a teleporter out of common household items.

She'd crawled behind the fridge, though, gotten stuck, and fallen asleep. She's lucky no dust bunnies found her back there.

Especially those of vampire persuasions.

They are in an X pen now. 36" tall, about a 20' perimeter the way we have it configured and it has steel hinges all the way around...now they can't get out of it but they're figuring out that if they work together they can drag / push the whole thing around...but they can't escape :-)
