Does he know any drug addicts?

SAN DIEGO — Mayor Jerry Sanders abruptly reversed his public opposition to marriage for same-sex partners and revealed that his adult daughter is a lesbian.

He fought back tears as he said he wanted his adult daughter, Lisa, and other gay people he knows to have their relationships protected equally under state laws.

I'm just saying here that I hope his daughter doesn't come to him next week and tell him she's been using marijuana for "medicinal" purposes. Oh, and let's hope none of his staff comes to him and says he should loosen up the restrictions on prostitution.

If all it takes for him to change such a fundamental standpoint is for some friends and family to be on the opposing side of it then it bodes ill for his city on other important points. He's either allowing personal matters to influence his decision about what's best for over a million poeple or he was not truthful about his beliefs when he was campaigning.

Rabbits

Well, this blog needs a first post and it's getting too late in the evening for me to think clearly so I'll start with this. I just filled out my profile information and when I viewed the updated information it reminded me that I was born in the year of the Rabbit. I'm not sure if this means that I'm evil, that the Chinese people are evil or if it has some other, as yet undiscovered meaning.

You see, it is my belief that rabbits are evil. I have no definitive reason for this (though they did try to bury my truck.) It has simply been my belief that if there is any creature possessed of the soul of Satan that it's rabbits. They're cuddly to be sure but Lucifer was supposedly the most beautiful of the angels and look at him now (or don't...might be better for you that way.) Underneath, however, they hide evil ways and desires and someday I'll prove it.
